If you are a high school student and are considering enrolling in the two-year qualifying course for the profession of optician, the Zaccagnini Institute provides you with a number of tools and opportunities to understand what our Institute has to offer, including

In the section dedicated to Student Salons, you will find the calendars and locations of the Student Salons in which the Zaccagnini Institute will participate in order to meet high school students and offer them information and help them decide and build their future.

If you have already graduated or obtained a degree, even some time ago, you can enrol in the two-year course qualifying you for the profession of optician.

In order to carefully assess the opportunity to enrol and what our Institute has to offer, the Zaccagnini Institute provides many tools and opportunities, including

Students enrolled at other Institutes of Optics and Optometry can contact the Zaccagnini Institute for information on the Institute's courses and to arrange a visit to the Institute, make an appointment with the Secretariat, the Course Management or attend an Open Day.

In addition:

• students who are attending or have completed the first year of the two-year qualifying course for the profession of optician either full-time or for workers at another Institute can contact us to transfer and enrol in the second year, attend and obtain their qualification at the Zaccagnini Institute;
• students who are attending the second year of the two-year course qualifying them for the profession of optician either full-time or have obtained their qualification as opticians in another Institute may enrol in the specialisation courses in Optometry either annual or two-year;
• students who are attending optometry specialisation courses at another Institute may request a transfer and complete the course at the Zaccagnini Institute. The Zaccagnini Institute, after assessing the programmes completed and the practical skills attained, will recognise the examinations successfully passed and, proportionally, will shorten the course by requiring attendance and examinations of the remaining subjects.

If you are a qualified optician and wish to broaden your professional and career horizons by acquiring the knowledge and skills of optometry or specialise in specialist areas belonging to the visual sciences by taking part in the Masters and Specialisation Courses of the Zaccagnini Institute, you can consult the Courses page where you will find the Courses, Masters and Specialisations section dedicated to those who are qualified opticians.

Foreign students are always welcome at the Zaccagnini Institute.

Admission to the two-year qualifying course for the profession of Optician or to the Degree Course in Optometry and Clinical Practice is possible subject to verification of the suitability of the qualification possessed to that required by the regulations in force.
