The Zaccagnini Institute has been present in the world of vision for more than 46 years, operating together with the scientific, economic and civil context.
Among the first in Italy, 35 years ago it started specialization courses in optometry to give professionals in the sector the opportunity to achieve the scientific knowledge and clinical skills of optometry, providing:
- qualified teachers, as the expression of the academic world and the professions,
- clinics, the largest in Italy, with advanced ophthalmic instrumentation,
- teaching methods always in line with the updates of professional profiles (anticipating the application of Decree 2018),
- digital technologies integrated with the didactics I.C.D – Integrated Customized Didactics.
The Specialization Course in Optometry takes place in the province of Venice at the Fondazione della Banca degli Occhi – FBOV, a scientific partner of excellence of the Zaccagnini Institute.
The FBOV is the first in Europe in terms of the number of corneas made available to give people back the joy of seeing through transplantation, research and treatment of eye diseases. The spaces and classrooms that host the course are provided in partnership with the Venetian School of Health.

How to reach us
BY TRAIN
The Rama Pavilion is served by the Venice Mestre Ospedale train station, located next to the building, situated along the Venice-Mestre-Mogliano Veneto-Treviso-Conegliano-Sacile-Pordenone-Casarsa-Udine line.
Alternatively, you can get off at the Venice Mestre train station, served by the ACTV bus line 3 that stops at the Ospedale dell 'Angelo train station.

BY CAR
From the Venice Mestre ring road (A57) take the exit "Via Castellana" and follow the signs for Ospedale dell 'Angelo.
At the entrance of the hospital area, turn right immediately to the Rama Pavilion (green).
The pavilion is equipped with underground parking.
