The program and themes of the 26th Interdisciplinary Congress will develop the title chosen by the Scientific Committee, "Management of Refractive Errors: Correction and Interdisciplinary Approaches," where ophthalmic correction and compensation represent the synthesis of a multidisciplinary care path. Every profession leverages its insights and privileges to serve the benefit of the ametropic patient, the general public, and the ophthalmic and professional community as a whole.
The IBZ Interdisciplinary Congress, which has been the only opportunity for various professions to collaborate on eye care and vision since 1994, will return in 2025 as the first scientific event of the year. Since its inception, it has been the only independent international scientific event welcoming a broad spectrum of topics, methods, viewpoints, and inventions and emphasizing their various effects on professions, ametropic patients, society, and the economy.
The title and themes will be explored in plenary sessions, roundtables, workshops, and posters presenting scientific evidence, best professional practices, clinical experiences, and new and forward-looking treatment hypotheses and solutions for managing refractive errors.
Moreover, the 2025 edition will feature a large exhibition area for companies, professional organizations, and educational institutions. A section dedicated to both academic and school-level education will be included, as well as a poster contest where students and professionals can compete for awards that will be given to the first, second, and third-place winners.
In accordance with the mission of the Interdisciplinary Congress and the IBZ, a CALL FOR PAPERS will be issued in the coming days, outlining how professionals, schools, courses, and institutions can submit their proposals to contribute to the scientific program.
A preview of the 26th Interdisciplinary Congress will be held in Milan on November 25th, during the Academic Year's Inauguration Ceremony.
